summer project #1: morning coffee patio
It's been a few years since I've been able to really work hard outside. Clearing out Dad's home, shoulder issues and pneumonia have occupied recent summers. This year the combination of improved health, free time, a freecycle pickup of some old chimney brick and this Sunset project, inspired me to paint our old café set, recover the cushions, and make a shady setting for morning coffee.
Do you have any summer projects in the works? I'd love to hear about them.

that looks fantastic!! :D
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that's fantastic! I want to make one too. You make it look easy, which I'm sure it's not! AND, I can't believe I get to actually sit there and have coffee with you!? Something I've bend wishing for for, what? 3 years?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing! I'm counting down the days.
DeleteWOW. I was thinking exactly what Sam wrote - you make it look easy, and it couldn't have been. And I want one. And... I want to have morning coffee there, too! So beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, friends! It actually was not very difficult--just digging a little laying sand, placing bricks, and then spooning grout in the cracks. I think Sunset called it a one-day patio, and this was a smaller version of theirs (though it took me two days and is not all that level :).
